I wanted to let you know that one of my private students and friends was involved in a lethal force encounter on Tuesday morning this week, and prevailed. You may have seen it in the news regarding a South Kansas City armed robbery. I never thought through, the possibility that my students would have a lethal force encounter before me. It was pretty intense when he called me and thanked me for the conversations and training that I'd done with him.

I have successfully earned the Range Safety Officer certification from the NRA. I have also submitted all of the required KANSAS CONCEAL CARRY information to the state for approved Instructor credentials, and enrolled in the upcoming March class.

Recently I attended a NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course conducted by Bruce Luedeman of SafeShoot Firearms and safety Training. Bruce did a great job, and I found Bruce to be a well seasoned experienced instructor who is very knowledgeable about safety, firearms, shooting, and the legalities surrounding conceal and carry laws. Bruce’s diverse background and experience allowed Bruce to personalize answers when asked on a plethora of topics. Additional,  Bruce provided  individually support to help each student achieve a successful outcome for the day. Bruce’s experience, patience, and knowledge made for a great day in the classroom, and an exceptional day at one of the most unique ranges that I have ever shot at.
